Think!

Expand your viewpoint.

-What is energy?
-Where does it come from?
-How does it affect me?
- What can I do
?

Imagine the differences we could make if we all used energy more efficiently. We could conserve natural resources for the future, enjoy better air quality and a better life. Each one of us can make a difference. All it takes is knowledge and ACTION.

All of the natural resources we use everyday are either nonrenewable –they cannot be easily replaced or renewable –they can be replaced through natural and/or human processes.

We need to use all resources efficiently and wisely. Students can show that they have respect for environment and a desire to protect it.

Spread the Energy Wise Word

Make a difference! Environmental wisdom and energy starts at home. The changes you make, no mater how small, really can make a difference. You may be one person and there are billions of people in the world, but working together, we can accomplish big things.
Adopt a piece of earth near you and help beautify and protect it. Choose someone to interview about environmental concerns and more efficient ways to use energy or invite a speaker to come to your school or organization.
Manage your household waste. No matter who you are or where you live, you create waste. Waste management solutions today involve material recovery facilities, recycling centers, waste-to-energy plants and modern landfill.

When one person makes a commitment to change his or her habits in such a way that on kilowatt hour of electricity is saved in a month and everyone in your class, school or town does the same thing thousands of kilowatt hours can be saved!
